Who is the Brand Builders Network?
Brand Builders Network (BBN) is a nonprofit, Black-owned community media and development organization.
The Black Rose Awards is our community recognition program, created to celebrate the “Most Known Unknowns” — individuals making meaningful contributions through their talent, leadership, creativity, service, and impact.
Revenue from sponsorships, vendor opportunities, and optional promotional packages goes directly toward producing the awards, the annual awards show, and year-round programming for nominees and the community.

Recognition in the Black Rose Awards is never for sale.
Voting is free and open to everyone. Nominees are never required to purchase anything, and no purchase influences a nominee's standing, vote count, or the committee's decisions.

The Black Rose Awards is a Jacksonville, Florida-based community recognition program created to celebrate the “Most Known Unknowns” — individuals making meaningful contributions through their talent, leadership, creativity, service, and impact.

It means giving people their flowers while they are still here to receive them. We recognize individuals whose contributions deserve greater visibility and appreciation.
Who can be nominated?
Individuals who demonstrate meaningful achievement, leadership, creativity, service, resilience, or positive community and professional impact may be considered for nomination.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. Self-nominations may be accepted during an official nomination period.
Can I nominate someone else?
Yes. Friends, family members, supporters, colleagues, organizations, and community members may nominate qualified individuals when nominations are open.
Does a nominee have to be famous?
No. The Black Rose Awards was created specifically to recognize people who may not receive widespread public recognition.
Does being nominated guarantee that I will win?
No. A nomination does not guarantee finalist status or an award. All nominees are subject to the official selection and voting process.

A nominee can receive one valid vote from the same person per day during the official voting period.
